TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN (TNR) PROGRAM

The City of Long Branch Mayor and Council have approved an Agreement with the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown to run a Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral and stray cats.  The TNR agreement authorizes the SPCA to adopt written standards that colony caregivers agree to strictly follow so the TNR colonies do not create a nuisance.  TNR cats also receive certain vaccinations in addition to spray.  The health department in association with the Animal Welfare Group functions to oversee the TNR activities at its monthly meetings.  One of the core elements of the TNR program is to over-time strive to reduce the population of stray and feral cats in Long Branch.  Inquiries about Long Branch’s TNR program or participation requirements may be directed to the SPCA by calling Debralee Lang by phone at [732] 542-0040 extension # 8 or by email  This email address is being protected from spambots.
